This award annually recognizes a chapter’s accomplishments at the local, state, and/or national levels, demonstrated through the success of chapter activities that:
- Encourage professional interest and excellence in scholarship, particularly in neuroscience
- Advance the discipline of neuroscience
- Encourage professional and social networking between students, faculty, and professionals in neuroscience & related disciplines
- Promoting career development in neuroscience and related fields, and post-graduation opportunities available with a neuroscience degree
- Contribution to neuroscience education and research on campus, in the community, and the field.
- Increasing public awareness of neuroscience and its benefits on the individual and community levels
- Encouraging service to the commumity
- Impact on and involvement of student members

The chapter selected will be announced at this year’s Annual Nu Rho Psi meeting, as well as on the Nu Rho Psi SfN poster in Washington D.C.
