Call for: Regional Associate Media Directors

Looking to get involved at the National level? Have a passion for social media and connecting with your peers? We are introducing a new Regional Associate Media Director (AMD) position for undergraduate, recent post-baccalaureate, and graduate student Nu Rho Psi members who are passionate about communications and media.

We looking for four (4) Regional Associate Media Directors, one (1) per region. The role of the Regional AMD is to provide an additional point of contact within each region, strengthen the Nu Rho Psi network, and expand communications goals of the organization. The AMDs will work directly with the National Media Director (NMD).

Responsibilities entail:

• Recruiting student members/faculty/community members in neuroscience & related fields within their applicable region to either
  • (a) write a blog post for the website to be published and circulated by AMD to social media pages
  • (b) be interviewed (preferably in video format to be posted on YouTube/website and other platforms). Provide 1 blog post or interview per month.
• Posting on media platforms (Facebook, Twitter/X, Instagram, etc.) of events in AMD’s region, when applicable
• Moderating pages (Facebook, LinkedIn, GroupMe) and interacting with socials (Instagram, Twitter/X). Should be checked at least once a week.
• Create, foster, and maintain connections with chapters in AMD’s region
• Attend monthly meeting with the National Media Director
• Create & pursue an additional media initiative of interest to AMD (optional, if of interest to the AMD)

This will be a 1-year position from May 2024 – May 2025. Summer 2024 will be used as a planning period for the upcoming Academic Year.

Applications close on April 7. Interviews will be held on a rolling basis, decisions will be made by May 10, and students will be on-boarded & introduced to the Executive Council in May.
